Port Aine has over 30 km of slopes and 800 vertical meters suitable for all levels and types of skiers or snowboarders. All tracks are in the Natural Park of the High Pyrenees and stand out for their integration into a mountain landscape and its wonderful views towards the Pyrenees. Spot is the only station located next to Aigüestortes and Sant Maurici National Park. The resort has over 20km of ski slopes and 1,000 vertical meters. The tracks are well known for being in lush pine forests. Tavascan, in addition of being the only station in Pallars Sobirà and within the domain of SkiPallars has a Nordic ski circuit, being a family station, with a high mountain environment for enthusiasts of alpine skiing, snowboarding or cross-country skiing.
The Nature Park of the Alto Pirineo (high Pyrenees) is another privileged area. Its surface area totals more than 60.000 hectares, making it the largest of all of Catalonia. It is nestled between Pallars Sobirà and Alt Urgell and offers a wide diversity of landscapes and ecosystems. Going into the park we can see bears, otters, vultures, white grouse, the Pyrenees lizard and the Pyrenean desman, a strange animal from the mole family which is indigenous to the region. There are zones which stand out for their geological interest. The Certascan lake, the largest glacial lake of Catalonia, the Cigalera of the Obaga of Valeran (or of Jean Paul Larrégola) which holds one of the deepest chasms of the Catalan territory and is home to elements of enormous natural value, such as a subterranean lake and various large galleries.
